I would recommend the online Arabic program to anyone interested in learning Arabic, whether you have done prior study or you are a complete newcomer.

"I enrolled in the Masters of Middle Eastern and Central Asian Studies because I wanted to further specialise in the history and politics of the region and was drawn to the broad and inter-disciplinary approach of the school. I also wanted a chance to study Modern Standard Arabic. I work full time and over the last few years have been based in Canberra and in various locations overseas. The CAIS staff have been very flexible and understanding and have really assisted me to fit in study around work commitments so I could continue to work through the Masters program. It is a small school with dedicated and enthusiastic staff and I have always felt very supported and encouraged.
I have particularly enjoyed the online Arabic course. The pace is good and there are many interesting and useful resources. The other students are spread out across Australia and overseas which makes for really interesting online class discussions. After studying Arabic on and off over the last few years, it was great to follow a structured program that I could do around other commitments. The teaching staff is really engaged and helpful and each lesson is varied and interesting.
I would recommend the online Arabic program to anyone interested in learning Arabic, whether you have done prior study or you are a complete newcomer."
