CAIS has had a brilliant start to the year with students back on campus and dropping by to find out more about what's on offer in 2020.  Today CAIS held a welcome event for new students who met the Director, A/Prof. Karima Laachir and staff convening the CAIS programs.

The students attended presentations on the Bachelor of Middle East & Central Asian Studies and Masters of Middle East & Central Asian Studies plus Arabic, Persian & Turkish language classes. Some had come to ANU from other states or countries to take the specialist degrees offered by CAIS. Their enthusiasm and willingness to commence their studies was very encouraging.  CAIS academics look forward to another productive and stimulating year of education and research.
