The study of the Middle East & Central Asia at ANU Open Day
CAIS staff and students had a rewarding time at ANU Open Day with a constant stream of enthusiastic prospective students coming up to talk to us about Middle East and Central Asian Studies (MECAS) as well as CAIS languages: Arabic, Persian and Turkish.
The Flexible Double Degree was, as always, a popular option with many of the newcomers thinking of pairing a Bachelor of Middle East and Central Asian Studies with a Bachelor of International Relations or International Security Studies.
Also popular was the option of taking a major or minor in the ME & CA studies. Many visitors to the CAIS stall had already had an interest in studying Arabic and some were interested to know that ANU is the only Australian university that offers Persian and Turkish.
