Centre Director, Associate Professor Karima Laachir delivered a lecture at the Council of Arab Ambassadors in Australia, held in Canberra on 18 February 2021.  The event was hosted by The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco HE Karim Medrek, Chair of the Arab Ambassadors Council.

The lecture was followed by an open forum with the Arab Ambassadors in which they discussed furthering knowledge, understanding and promotion of the Arabic speaking world within Australia.  The lecture, and the Director’s participation in the open forum, form part of the Centre’s ongoing public outreach efforts and engagements with various stakeholders that will enable the Centre to promote understanding, and influence policy.
