Catherine Corbett graduated with a Bachelor of Middle Eastern and Central Asian Studies.

She also studied Arabic and hopes to travel to Europe to work with refugees next year. Catherine describes her experience:

"My studies in the Bachelor of Middle Eastern and Central Asian Studies have defined and challenged the way I think about politics and culture in the region, one that is ever changing and prominent in the contemporary world. The courses offered are diverse and catered to my existing interests, in addition to expanding my knowledge of new topics. Studying in the Centre for Arab and Islamic Studies was a vibrant experience, especially being surrounded by and taught by top academics. One of my favourite aspects of the degree was the opportunity to learn Arabic and participate in Applied Arabic in the Arab world."
