We are pleased to announce that CAIS PhD student Marcus James is the recipient of one of four National Archives of Australia – Australian Historical Association  2021 Postgraduate Scholarships.  This scholarship will assist Marcus in accessing archival records for his PhD research “Mechanics Fleeing Communism: the Russian Refugee Diaspora in Iran and its Resettlement in Australia, 1930 – 1960”, and will provide him with priority access to records, digitisation services and ongoing assistance from a designated reference officer.
