Persian at ANU is my favourite university course

I decided to study this language as I was attracted to Iran’s rich and artistic history, as well as the recent focus on Iran at an international level. While learning how to write and speak in Farsi, the course simultaneously teaches you the history and current situation of the land as well as its cultural practices and festivals. The class environment is supportive and the teachers exceptionally engaging. Additionally, the small class sizes ensure that the teachers respond to the needs of each student.
The Persian culture is a wonderful one to become familiar with, as it is an inclusive community which responds to any desire you have to learn more about the language or culture. It has made me very excited to visit Iran one day and perhaps even work with its community in the future.
