Kyle stems from a varied academic and professional background. He completed his BCom (Economics, Management) at the University of Melbourne and his MA (Muslim Minorities in a Global Context) at SOAS (University of London). His PhD research at ANU aims to explore to what extent and manner a worldview-based framework provides an effective model for analysing societal participation and inclusion outcomes regarding Australia’s ethno-religiously diverse population. His academic interests include worldviews, sociology (religion and culture), Islam (incl. in the West), as well as Middle East history and geopolitics.
Kyle’s professional experiences span private, public and civil society sectors and include management consulting as well as relief and development programming. His interests led him to the Middle East where he studied Arabic and managed of a range of relief and development projects.
