'Nowruz-etaan Piruz - Sale now Mobarak'
Wednesday 24 March 2021

CAIS staff would like to offer their best wishes to everyone celebrating Nowruz 2021. Nowruz 'meaning New Year' is one of the most important celebrations for Iranians and Central Asians. The occasion is marked as a time of renewal and hope for the year ahead.

The table setting or 'Haft Seen' is a feature of the Nowruz celebrations with each of the items on display signifying 'new life'. This beautiful Haft Seen table was set by Dr Zahra Taheri, Convenor of Persian and Iranian Studies Program, in her home.
