The Centre for Arab & Islamic Studies (CAIS) at the Australian National University in Canberra is proud to coordinate the Turkish Studies Network in Australia/New Zealand.

The network is an academic venue connecting scholars from diverse disciplinary backgrounds. HDR students and early career researchers are especially welcome.

Eschewing narrow and exclusivist national, statist and geographic framings, the network will span eras and transnational geographies including the modern Turkish state, the Ottoman Empire, the Turkic World and a breadth of research fields, from intellectual history, anthropology, literature, international relations and political science to Islamic Studies, Kurdish Studies, minorities, diaspora and migration.

All welcome to join the network. Membership is free.

To join, please click here and complete the google docs form.
